USPS ships on your schedule, not theirs
September 18th, 2009It’s 11:00 p.m. Fortunately, you have till tomorrow to get a package out and on schedule to meet a deadline: your missionary’s birthday. But, right now is the most convenience time for you. Too bad the post office is closed, you think to yourself. Oh, but wait.
Last Monday, BYU-Idaho students opened their mailboxes to find a over-sized postcard from the United
States Postal Service (USPS). In a vibrant green and yellow, the USPS reminds and informs these students of a service offered by the many of their postal office locations including the Rexburg, ID office; it is the year-old addition of the 24-hour Automated Postal Center. These high-tech boxes assist you with the common services of the Postal Office including weighing packages, creating labels and selling stamps.
Rexburg residents have found it to be an addition that creates remarkable convenience to the Postal Office experience. And now the USPS has targeted the University students through this most recent ad in an effort to create additional awareness of this service.
“I love these things. It’s seriously everything I need to do at the click of a couple buttons,” said Kelsie Alexander, a BYU-Idaho student studying engineering. ” I really don’t mail that often, but when I do this is the way to go.”
